I am a freelance heritage consultant, lecturer and writer with over 20 years’ experience in the academic, commercial and local authority heritage sectors. As a consultant, I provide heritage planning advice and services to a wide range of clients, including landowners, developers and local planning authorities. I also act as an expert witness in planning appeals, court cases and Public Inquiries. As a lecturer, I speak regularly on a wide range of archaeological and historical subjects to groups and societies across the eastern region and beyond. As a writer, I have published extensively on heritage-related subjects in numerous books and journals, as well as more popular pieces. I am an elected Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
